Time to Land
On recovery and recuperation
Hullo my lovely readers
With thanks for your generous responses about last week’s letter, in which I shared that I was taking time to spend with my family, this week I’m sharing that I’m taking time to land. Literally, having recently successfully made it through a flight (a physical privilege I’ll never take for granted, as well as acknowledging its environmental impact). Figuratively too, though, because that flight being followed by a number of work commitments (another privilege and a true joy) now means that my brain and body are insisting I need to take a moment to regroup before – at last! – resuming the rhythm of this newsletter’s raison d’être and actually writing about culture from my perspective as a queer and trans crip again.
So, whilst I do that, here is a drawing I’ve done on the virtual blank canvas of Weave Silk.
Thanks so much for reading, and love and solidarity until next week,
Jx

So kind of you to check in here - keep taking good care of yourself. I’m always glad to read your words whenever and however. Another cool drawing, thanks for that also.
